Creating a "simple" website that loads at cosmic speed. Is it simple to implement? Unfortunately, it is not that simple at all. We have ways, and the answer lies in proper technical optimization and frontend coding.
Is it easy to create a simple, fast WordPress site with animations and high-quality photos? The answer required proper optimization and coding.
The task was to design a visually appealing, usable and intuitive site with an unusual "mask effect" transition of layers on the home page. At the same time, the site had to deliver a WOW effect while being memorable through its graphics and visual concept. Implementation in an intuitive WordPress CMS system was essential so the client could easily add new projects and blog posts.
To meet the expectations for the style and character of the site, we began with moodboard preparation and competitor research. Our main goal was to inspire a sense of modernity and professionalism in the services offered.
Together with the client we analyzed the collected material. Assumptions were made, functionalities were defined. When designing each section at the UX prototyping stage, we tried to answer the question: for what purpose is the section created, does it justify its place on the site? As a result, we created an intuitive communication flow.
The final step was HTML, CSS, JS coding. Realizing the main goal of fast page loading, we focused on maximum acceleration through: image adjustment for responsive sizes, lossless photo compression, lazy loading implementation, system font loading optimization, WordPress database query reduction, CSS/JS minification, and page caching.
The delivered website loads at high speed despite rich animations and large gallery photos. The WordPress backend allows the client to independently add new projects and blog posts without developer assistance.
